I don’t want comments! How do I turn them off?

Usually, we are out to create “comment-worthy” posts. We typically want to hear others opinions and get them involved in our conversation. Like, what’s the point of posting if you don’t want someone else to talk with! On rare occasions, however, you may write something that you don’t want people to be able to comment on. When this happens, you should know that you can easily turn off comments on individual posts.

Here’s how…

Step 1

Login into your WordPress dashboard. Click on Posts > All Posts.

Step 2

Click on Screen Options.

Step 3

Make sure Discussion is checked.

Step 4

Open the post that you do not want comments to show up on.

Scroll to the very bottom of the post. Open Discussion (arrow on the right) and uncheck Allow Comments.

That’s it! Super easy and now you don’t have to worry about comments being made!

For this post, I am interested in hearing what you all have to say. Is there something simple that you just don’t know how to do in WordPress? Give me a shout below, I’d be happy to show you how in my next post!
