Have Hope, There’s Help!
I was too. I can remember my first WordPress interaction. New to my office job, I was asked to perform some updates on our company WordPress website. Although familiar with HTML and CSS, I had never entered the unknown territory of the WordPress dashboard. I fluctuated between moments of thinking, “Oh, this is easy” to moments of panic and thinking for sure I had broken the website altogether! It was stressful and embarrassing.
Let’s Be Honest
There is a lot to learn about WordPress. There are Widgets and Plugins (oh so many plugins)! There are tons of Themes and if you change your theme, your information may not all translate to the new theme properly. There are different Editors – how do you know which one to use? What about menus? How do I create one and add it to my navigation? How can I make my blogs show up on my home page or not show up on my home page?!
You get it. Sure, just writing in the Classic Editor may seem easy enough but if you have to do more than that, you may want to get help.
Rest at ease. There are so many other people just like yourself! People who have been using WordPress for years still come together to talk about new or different ways of doing things. They join together in groups, all around the world.
